Product Evaluation and Selection Service

How is the service performed?

Please consider the description below a high-level description. We are happy to explain the whole process in more detail upon request. Of course, the service can be tailored to meet your specific needs.

  • An analyst will collect details from you or some other designated persons about your existing technical IT infrastructure, your applications, and your strategic and tactical planning. The collected information will be used in creating the customized Software Selection Criteria Schema. Information collection can be done over the phone or in a meeting.
  • Several scenarios are defined that address critical aspects of business collaboration, process flow, application integration and data integration in your enterprise.
  • We utilize our proven evaluation methodology, which is based on our collection of generic Software Selection Criteria Schemas. Our criteria and your requirements determine the weight factors assigned to criteria groups and the requirement types associated with individual criteria. The result is a customized Software Selection Criteria Schema, which will be reviewed by you.
  • An analyst will match your enterprise’s requirements with vendor offerings, and recommend vendors to which the requirements statement (which includes the customized Software Selection Criteria Schema and the scenarios) should be sent.
  • Responses received from vendors will be reviewed and product offerings will be rated and ranked according to scorings. The recommended short list of products will include up to three products. A senior analyst will deliver an on-site presentation to your team.
  • In preparation of the “hands-on” evaluation, “Evaluation Cases” will be defined based on the scenarios defined earlier in the process. Vendors will be invited to implement the evaluation cases. Information relevant for final decision-making, such as the sequence of implementation steps, and the time required to perform them, will be recorded. The overall quality of the implementation will be assessed.
  • A senior analyst will create an evaluation report and will deliver an on-site presentation.
